Kolkata Rape Murder Case: Shantanu Sen’s troubles in the case of rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata are not decreasing. First he was removed from the post of party spokesperson by Trinamool Congress and now he has been removed from the post of health advisor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation as well.
In this regard, the mayor claimed that there is no post of health advisor in the municipal corporation and his name plate has also been removed. Let us tell you that Trinamool Congress had taken action against Shantanu Sen for giving a statement on the Kolkata rape case.

Despite the action of Trinamool Congress, Shantanu Sen said that I was with TMC and will remain with it. However, he also said that I feel bad that leaders coming from other parties are respected in TMC while a dedicated soldier has to face all these things.
Private doctors of Gurugram went on strike
Doctors of private hospitals in Gurugram also joined the strike on Saturday (August 17) in protest against the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata’s Medical College and Hospital. OPD and operation theatre services were also suspended in private hospitals in Gurugram in support of the strike called by the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Doctors along with members of Lions Club and other organisations gathered at John Hall in the morning. After this, they took to the streets and protested and demanded justice in the Kolkata incident.
The strike will continue till Sunday evening
IMA district president Dr Ajay Sharma said that the doctors will be on strike till 6 pm on Sunday (August 17) and only emergency services will be operational during this time. Dr Suresh Vashisht, who participated in the march, said, “The culprits should be given maximum punishment as soon as possible. The central government should make a law on the 2019 draft to prevent violence against medical establishments and personnel.”
The IMA has urged the management and faculty of all medical colleges to ensure their safety and care. Apart from emergency services, OPD, elective surgeries and other services remained closed in the district hospitals during the strike.
A postgraduate intern doctor was allegedly raped and murdered while on duty at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College on August 9. The 32-year-old doctor’s semi-nude body was found in the ‘seminar hall’ of the government hospital in the West Bengal capital. A man was arrested last Saturday in connection with the incident.
